Our enticing menu curated by kiwi Head Chef, Grant Taylor celebrates proper British & Local Food, with inspiration from his time in London and Australasia (and Antarctica).
He uses his wealth of experience to bring you a delicious, creative but classic menu, combining your favourite pub classics done right alongside a specials board featuring more contemporary dishes & unique flavours which champion the very best seasonal produce from our wonderful local suppliers. On Sundays indulge in a traditional Sunday Roast with all of the trimmings in front of the fire!

We are passionate about great wines, working closely with local Wine Producer & Merchant, Christopher Piper to create a well-balanced wine list (including local English wines & of course a couple South African options in there too!) to enhance & complement our food, or just to enjoy with friends & family!
Our Ales are served the best way – straight from the cask! Being a Free House we have the freedom & luxury of selecting the best drinks from the best suppliers. Our House Beer, Two Plush Pheasants is a modern classic bitter made by Flack’s Brewery. Guinness, Lager & IPA can also be found on Tap, as well as Cyder from The Newt.
We have a vast, carefully selected Whisky Collection as well as a selection of Local Gins & Spirits, including Conker Gin, Fordington Gin & Mousehall Gin.
As well as alcoholic drinks we serve hot drinks & soft drinks (including MOMO Kombucha & Bieterlekker from Babylonstoren in addition to the usual favourites) as well as a big selection of low / zero-alcohol alternatives such as Zero Guinness, Purbeck Zero Cider, Noughty Wines & zero alcohol Gin.

Throughout the pub we endeavour to use local producers as much as we can & where this is not possible (a great homegrown Malbec or black pepper can be hard to come by in the UK!) we try to use the best local or independent suppliers so we are supporting other small businesses like ours.
